The 7 Steps of Self-Deliverance

The 7 Steps of Self-Deliverance is a self-guided, video-based deliverance model that has been designed to help Christians find spiritual freedom from the privacy of their own home.

Before You Get Started

Before you begin the 7 Steps of Self-Deliverance, you will need to do the following:

  • Download and thoroughly review the Deliverance Homework Packet found in the box below.

  • Read the homework document carefully: do not start the self-deliverance process until you have done this!

  • Check the Prerequisites for Deliverance (found on p. 20); if you meet these requirements, you may proceed with the self-deliverance process on your own.

  • Complete the 12 assignments listed under the Open Doors Homework (pp. 21-37). Take your time with these. Don’t rush them.

  • Perform all activities described on the packet’s last page, Preparation for Deliverance Day (p. 38).

  • Schedule your Deliverance Day (D-Day) prayer session on a day after you have gone to the Sacrament of Confession and attended the Holy Mass. If you are in good health, you should be fasting according to the norms of the Catholic Church. During this prayer session, you will need 3 - 5 hours of free time alone (or with your spouse) to pray out loud without being disturbed.

Important Note

The 7 Steps of Self-Deliverance is meant for your private use (i.e., alone in your own home or with your immediate family members, such as your spouse and children). You do not have permission to use our materials on another person in any other setting outside your immediate home. These are private prayers only. (The only exception to this is if you are a clergyman or religious. You’re way cooler than I am, so go for it!)

Performing deliverance on another person requires a lengthy training process that takes years to complete, and merely going through these 7 Steps does not meet that educational standard even remotely. You will harm yourself and/or others if you try to do this without the requisite training, and especially if you try to do this without the calling of God.

And if you feel that you do have such a calling from God, that does not mean He intends for you to start doing this on your own tomorrow, without any training! Even King David had to wait many years after being anointed by the prophet Samuel before he actually ascended to the throne of Jerusalem: you might be feeling a call from God now that will not become a reality until some time in the distant future.

When you are Ready to Begin

Once you have completed all of the preliminary activities and homework assignments listed in the Deliverance Homework Packet, you need to do the following:

  • Download the Deliverance Day Guide Book found at the link in the box below. The guide book outlines a series of prayers that have been mostly composed using Sacred Scripture, traditional Catholic prayers, and quotes taken from the lives of the Saints. The script is a guide; it is not set in stone. Don’t get hung up on saying the prayers ‘exactly right.’ Remember: this is a conversation with God. It isn’t formulaic magic.

  • You should print the guide book out (or pull it up on your computer or phone device).

  • You need to follow all instructions given in the Deliverance Homework Packet (p. 38), the Deliverance Day Guide Book, and the 7 Steps of Self-Deliverance video recordings (linked below).

  • You need a quiet place to do the deliverance where you won’t be disturbed. Again, plan on 3-5 hours.

  • Make sure you have holy water or holy oil, if you can.
